My apologies for the long layover, folks. The plane has finally reached the gate and the boarding should start any time now, I promise.

Let me take a few moments to catch you all up on the recent doings 'round the Barber clan.

We spent five days in Arkansas . . . home. Some highlights:

- baby free throws with Johnny Wink
- quality time with my aunt and Grandmother
- Tim and Nancy Harrell's wedding
- beer and red meat with Currey and Nate-dogg

When we came back, we saw Simon and Garfunkel in concert. The best two words in the English language? "Second Encore."
